Corban smiled for the first time yesterday, at 5 weeks and 3 days old. So sweet, unexpected, fleeting... Then we spent several minutes trying to get him to do it again, which makes him tired so he cries instead. Oh, well. As soon as we can capture one in a picture, we'll share it with you.
We have Corban's passports now. His tourist passport arrived in only 1 1/2 weeks, which is probably a record. My first reaction was something like "NO! it was supposed to take 4-6 weeks, and I'm not ready yet!" since this was the contingency we had told everyone, "well, we have to get a passport, and will take x weeks... and we don't really know... then we can leave."
And now it looks like we will actually be ready to leave Virginia on August 17.
